Exercise materials:

PDF descriptions of exercises to learn the basics of D3. Geared towards "geo-people" who want to use it for visualising (spatial) data as charts and maps.

Introduction to Javascript (PDF) -- a very brief introduction for those who never used javascript in the browser.
Introduction to D3 (PDF) -- starts with the first principles, works towards a bar-graph and a map that are interactively linked.
Introduction to Javascript (ZIP archive) -- data and filefragments for use in the D3 exercise.

Results of the exercise:

Intermediary and final results of the exercise described above. Of course, you are advised to try achieving these results on your own, before cheating by looking into the underlying code...!
